STORY

I am the grandson of Robert W. Ahlgrim. :

"My grandfather was the son of Frederick John Ahlgrim and Mary Eva (Worthington) Ahlgrim. His parents named him Robert Frederick Ahlgrim. However, after his mother passed away he changed his middle name to the maiden name of his mother. He volunteered for the army in 1942. After joining the army, Robert W. Ahlgrim married Irene Urinchak, and they had a son, Robert Frederick Ahlgrim, who was born on May 20, 1944."

Robert W. Ahlgrim was also awarded a bronze star for Valor.

I have attached a PDF copy of his photograph to the email Thank you for maintaining the information on your website.
