STORY

Henry Richard Alexander was born February 2nd, 1917 to Matthew Cartwright Alexander and Mabel Alice McNeil in Haskell, Texas.

Henry registered for the draft in October of 1940 and was later enlisted at an unknown date.

Henry's draft registration listed him as self-employed, but as he became a shipfitter, it seems likely he was a lone repairman or engineer.

SF2 Alexander joined the 146th Engineer Combat Battalion, participating in the Omaha Beach landing, where, for unknown reasons, he lost his life.
