I was on tour with the little baby on this picture! Sarah is turning 75 yo and we were on the footsteps of her father Captain Robert BONHARD from the 100th Troop Carrier Squadron.

He didn't survive the crash of his C47 on February 15th, 1945...

That was the first visit of Sarah on the grave of her father in Normandy...

 Killed on an Operational Mission on 15-2-1945 as pilot of C-47B / #43-48956 / 8C-'?' / No MACR.
Took off from A-41 Dreux-Vernouillet airfield, France on a night training flight. Recalled due to bad weather.


Crashed 1 mile north of Vernouillet. 4 KOM.


Captain Bonhard is buried at Normandy Cemetery, A-14-43.
