STORY

The 24th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron arrived in England on February 15, 1943.

The 24th arrives at Utah beach from Southampton.

He arrived on the beach on June 15, 1944.

Arriving on French soil, the 24th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron is assigned to the 4th Infantry DIvision.

He participated in the liberation of north Cotentin and Cherbourg.

At the end of July, the 24th Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron takes part in the fight in the Tessy sur vire / VILLEBAUDON sector against the second panzer division.
