He is the son of Vaner V TANGBORN (from Sweden) & Jennie M OASE TANGBORN (from Norway) Virgil was the eldest of six siblings.  He lived in Nary MINNESOTA in a house where there was neither water nor electricity.
He was playing in Nary's orchestra without taking a music class. All of the Band 90th Infantry Division's training was disbanded and they trained as a stretcher nurse.  His family received the telegram announcing his death on July 1, 1944. | |||||||
