STORY

The B-24D-125-CO(Serial Number 42-41013) from the 389th Bomb Squad group 566th bomber squadron was the 4th bomber shot down by the german during a mission over Ludwigshafen ( Germany) and his crew was commposed by 11 members:

The bomber nammed "Trouble" ,piloted by Cpt WILHITE was attacked by two FW-190 at around 21000 feet and was affected by two missiles , one on the right wing and the other on the cockpit. The plane ingnited and broke formation.

Only Robert Sweat ,Wendall Daily and another crew member non identified was able to lift the airplane and parachuted.

Robert SWEAT had half gone out when the plane exploded and Robert was ejected.

According to him , the copilot Wendall Daily was executed by the german before he can join the ground.
