STORY

First Lieutenant Theron Jake Stookesberry was the son of Jacob Morton Stookesberry and Ivy Jane French.

On January 1, 1943, at Jefferson Barracks, Missouri, Theron enlisted in the United States Army Air Corps.

He was assigned to the 350th Bomb Squadron, 100th Bomb Group, John E. Davis crew, as a Navigator.

Their plane went down in the North Sea on September 3, 1944 due to mechanical problems.
