S/Sgt Jack T ZIMMERMANN, of Troop A of the 106th Reco Sq Cavalry was killed August 7, 1944 in Evron, while giving drink to German soldiers prisoner. It seems he was buried by the inhabitants of Evron . Stele in Evron Then his body was repatriated to Gorron provisional cemetery October 2, 1944. He finally rest in peace in the cemetery of St James.
