HISTOIRE

 Gordon est né en 1921, à La Crosse, au WISCONSIN.
 14 Septembre 1942, il s'est enrôlé dans l'Air Corps.

 En 1943, il est arrivé en Angleterre pour rejoindre le 401e BG
 Sa dernière mission, 13 mars 1944, Cible: Gorenflos, France, après avoir largué des bombes, l'avion a été touché par des DCA.
 Le vaisseau était en feu et a explosé avant de heurter l'obscurité.

 Il a reçu l'Air Medal avec OLC et la Purple Heart

 Selon le tireur à la taille gauche, Royce W MOORE, Gordon se tenait à côté de lui quand le navire a explosé.

 Le 18 mars, il a été enterré dans un cimetière commémoratif de la guerre mondiale anglais, Abbeville / Somme ( Grave J-4)
