According to the Radio report, the evacuation order was given on the Cotentin but was not heard by the entire crew.

Only the co-pilot and the bomber jumped.

The pilot then attempted to fly to England.

He reached the Isle of Wight but could not land, orders frozen.

The remaining crew then jumped and the plane apparently crashed on the island, towards Kingston
