His father Joseph Mc CABE was a master in the army of salvation. William lost his father in 1928 and lost his brother Charles who was 8 years old. The 435th Troop Carrier Group was to transport the 320th Glider Field Artillery Battalion, unit attached to the 82nd Airbone Division.The 435th consisted of 12 Waco CG-4A gliders and 38 Horsa gliders. | |||||||
