STORY

 

Lieutenant Delbert SCHMID, USAAF of 367 Fighter Group.

Shot on board his Lightning on July 3, 1944, he was saved by his parachute.

Collected and protected by the inhabitants, he has to evacuate with them and is killed on the road at Saint Charles de Percy with many civilians on July 8th.
