On July 23, 1944, shortly after 7 p.m., fourteen American P-38s bombed Limours station.

Seven bombs damaged the station buildings and three tracks.

From 7:15 p.m. to 7:28 p.m., according to the German report, an aerial fight ensued between the fourteen P-38 Lightning and ten German Focke-Wulf 190s.

Four P-38s and one FW 190 were shot down in the sector between Limours, Cernay la Ville, Boullay les Troux and Choisel
