STORY
Due to an early morning fog, several of the 509th companies were dropped away from their area.
Unfortunately, a whole stick of 17 men of Company B inadvertently jumped into the Mediterranean Sea off Saint-Tropez.
C-47 n ° 101013 ordered Captain Ralph MILLER to jump into thinking they were in their area, ie east of Muy on Drop Zone C for the Albatross mission.

With all their bardas, the 17 men including Ira J BUTLER had no chance.
They were all missing.
