August 26, 1944 at hospital of wounds suffered August 23, in Melun, France.
Captain Moise was wounded and died in a hospital in France two days later. Colonel Moise said. For weeks the family had not received any information of Captain Moise after hearing he was wounded. The hospital he was in was bombed and destroyed a few days after Captain Moise death and all records were lost.
Captain Moise, a sumter high school and Clemson college graduate, entered the service from the reserve corps in February, 1942.
His Division was sent overseas in Jun and was stationed in England until it joined General Patton Third Army. He was attached to this army when wounded.
Captain Moise was an architect here before he entered the service.
