le 33rd armored regiment a débarqué à omaha beach le 24 Juin 1944. Il a participé aux combats pour libérer la ville de SAINT LO

Le 29 Juin1944 première épreuve du feu pour cette division elle participe aux combats pour libérer la commune de VILLIERS FOSSARD village qui se situe au nord est de St LO

Le 07 Juillet 1944 le combat command B traverse la VIRE à Airel, commune se situant au nord de PONT HEBERT

Le 10 Juillet 1944 le combat command B prend position sur la COTE 91 ou BATAILLE DES HAUTS VENTS, ces combat ont lieu région PONT HEBERT commune qui se situe au nord de St LO.

Command combat B a du résister à de nombreuses bombardement de l artillerie allemand.

Le command combat B a du se battre contre la cèlèbre PANZER LEHR.

Pendant 3 jours ils ont tenu la cote 91 avant d être rejoint par l'avant garde de la 30th Division d'Infantrie
