STORY

Wayne Agee, the son of Walter and Mae Agee of the Standard Oil Pump Station near Buena Vista Lake, California, was killed October 31, 1944 in an airplane accident in France. He was the copilot of a B17 bomber.

A graduate of Taft Union High School, he was attending the University of California when he entered the army air corps two years before his death. He received his flight training at Lincoln, Nebraska, Lemoore Army Air Field and La Junta Army Air Field, Colorado, where he was commisioned in March 1944. He received further training in twin engine craft at Austin, Texas, Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Stout Field, Indiana.
