STORY | |||||||
Story by Richard FAULKNEROnly survivor of the crash. When he fell on French soil in 1944, he was exfiltrated by the resistance thanks to the help of a local farmer. He refused the purple heart at the time. He considered at that time to have done simply his duty ... Richard was a belly gunner and he crawled out of his post. His first parachute not working, he had to use the second. 70 years later he decided to receive this medal simply for these little children. Like all he kept for 70 years for him what he had lived at the time | |||||||
