This list was compiled from a file drawn up by American doctors who managed the arrivals of the wounded at the German military hospital located in the girls' school on Rue Jean Macé in Rennes in June and July 1944.
The wounded who had left the hospital were sent back to the stalag 221 or oflag 133 in Rennes St-Jacques (Marne camp) and sent to Germany. More than 1,000 soldiers were counted.
