The 19-year-old Pfc Robert Brown of the 460th PAFB A Battery was the first allied soldier killed in the battle of the Braus Pass. A German artillery shell hit his howitzer and blew it up, injuring nine other men and killing him. It happened near the Escarène station. | ||||||
